Corr double maintains unbeaten run

A Barry Corr double sealed a point for Swindon against a resurgent Bournemouth at Dean Court - Corr scored his fourth goal in three games as Dave Byrne's men maintained their unbeaten festive run.

Once again the first-half saw little of the significant action as both sides struggled to get any sort of rhythm to their play. However, Bournemouth were a much changed team than the one who Swindon destroyed 4 – 1 earlier in the season.

The second-half had barely got under way before Barry Corr gave Swindon the lead with a majestic 25-yard strike. Strike partner, Simon Cox looked to have doubled their lead minutes later, but he was adjudged to have fouled Jason Pearce before he slotted the ball home.
That decision nearly proved costly as Bournemouth went on to score an equaliser when Swindon old boy Jo Kuffour latched onto James Henry's cross and fired the ball home.

Bournemouth looked like they had secure their third home win in succession when rather fortuitously Sam Vokes found the net – not that the striker knew much about it as the ball rebounded of him past a stricken Peter Brezovan.

However Swindon came fighting back and found the equaliser they deserved when Corr bundled home a Cox cutback in the 83rd minute.

Kuffour having the chance to win the game in the dying moments but his header cannoned off the post.

With seven points from the last three games Byrne and Williams will no doubt be happy that they have managed to lift the team from the alarming slump they endured when they first took over.

With a massive game against inform Swansea on New Year's Day the caretakers will be hoping that the team can continue their good form and secure all three points.
